After a heavy hailstorm, the pressure to inspect for roof damage forces many Arlington Heights residents into a high-altitude gamble on a shaky ladder that simply isn’t worth the risk to their mobility.
ZeroLadder was deployed to this Arlington Heights residence less than 24 hours after a severe Midwest weather event. Our mission was to eliminate the “guessing game” by performing a high-resolution forensic scan of the entire 3,000-square-foot roof surface without anyone ever leaving the driveway. We navigated our inspection drone in a tight grid pattern, hovering just inches above the windward slopes where hail impact is most concentrated. Our 4K camera captured macro-level detail of shingle granule loss and the tell-tale “bruising” that indicates a structural compromise. We documented the subtle circular impact fractures that are impossible to see from the ground but are the primary evidence required for a successful insurance claim.
We provided the homeowner with a folder of crystal-clear 4K evidence showing significant hail bruising across two main roof slopes. By spending 15 minutes watching a tablet screen instead of 30 minutes on a precarious ladder, the owner secured the documentation needed for a full insurance replacement while keeping their feet safely on the ground.
